What Is AUTO-CAD

                      Auto-Cad History



The first version of AutoCAD came out in 1982 and operated on DOS, Operating system.
Auto-Cad was the first significant computer aided drawing program. It is a flexible drafting program and is applicable to all the field.

Introduction of Auto-cad



Starting with auto-cad
  1.  Auto-cad can be started by clicking on AutoCAD icon in desktop.
  2.  The command area- THIS is small window (by default) has space for three lines of   test.
  3.  This is where you type the command.
  4.  View tabs – these tabs give access to differ rent views of the current drawing.
  5.  The status area – at the bottom of the AutoCAD window. This includes the current cursor position.




Starting with the workspace>
You can start with the opening the new file in Auto-cad  Go to>MENU TAB> FILE>new




In desktop a new window open you can choose the ACAD for opening the new window file in AutoCAD.
